Last week, Tony Douglas, passed away.  He and his band, The Shrimpers, played all over Texas in the 60's, 70's and 80's - including Panther Hall.   Bill Mack, Hall of Famer DJ formally with WBAP (Ft. Worth) and then satellite radio stations has personal insight from knowing Mr. Douglas - he spoke at the funeral.  During the last few years, Tony Douglas has been played more on satellite radio stations dedicated to classic country music.  Another who followed Tony throughout his career is Tom Perryman, a Hall of Famer DJ that works for KKUS in Tyler, TX (http://theranch.fm/pages/12890070.php. Tom spoke at the funeral also.

Tracey Pitcox of KNEL in Brady, Texas has also kept up with Mr. Douglas over the years.

Tracey also spoke at the funeral.
